HOW IT WORKS
Students attend the Electrical Program in the spring semester of Grade 12 and the fall semester at post-secondary. They attend their home school in the first semester of grade 12 so they can
complete their remaining graduation requirements.
Students may graduate on time with their classmates if they successfully complete the program requirements.
BENEFITS
> BCIT tuition is paid by School District 23
> Receive 32 Grade 12 credits
> Receive credit for Level 1 Technical
Apprenticeship Training
> Receive BCIT Certificate of Trades Training
> Receive Theoretical and Practical Foundations electrical apprenticeship training
> Possible credit for practical experience towards an electrical apprenticeship
> BCIT application and student fee included
Students may have the opportunity to participate in the Secondary School Apprenticeship Program by completing a paid summer work component
as an electrical apprentice to receive up to 16 additional high school credits at the Grade 11 and 12 level for paid apprentice work.
Students may qualify for $1000.00 SSA Scholarship

> Communications 12 or English 12
> Pre-Calculus Math 11 or A&W Math 11
> Physics 11 is recommended
> Be 19 years of age or under
> Be attending a secondary school in Kelowna
